Daytona Beach area sees spike in pedestrian fatalities

Unfortunately, Daytona Beach and Volusia county reported several pedestrian fatalities during November, 2010.  As the holidays are quickly approaching, it follows that more people will be in our area.  I encourage drivers and pedestrians alike to obey all traffic devices and pay extra attention when traveling on our area roadways.  With the increased traffic during the holidays, it is important to be watchful of your surroundings and take notice of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.  Error on the side of caution rather than assuming you have the right of way or that an approaching vehicle sees you.
