How long can I receive workers' compensation benefits?

A: Under the current Workers' Compensation Law, an injured worker is entitled to receive up to a maximum of 104 weeks of temporary workers' compensation checks if the employee remains on a "no work" status or under limitations which an employer cannot accomodate. The 104 weks is cummulative, not consecutive. Medical benefits do not expire as long as you receive "authorizd" medical care at least once every 12 months and the need for the care is related to the industrial accident.
