If the insurance company does not want to offer me enough to settle, can I go to the Judge and ask for more?

 

A: In workers' compensation cases the answer is "NO".  As the settlements are voluntary, a Judge cannot require an insurance company to pay more to settle a case.  Nor can the Judge of Compensation Claims force either party to settle a workers' compensation case.
