Distracted Driving

Distractions while driving, such as texting and talking on cellular phones have become an increasing problem and are rapidly becoming a leading cause of accidents, especially with younger drivers.  Although Florida has not outlawed texting while driving, many states have.  I will admit that I have texted while driving and without question use my cellular frequently while on the road (a necessary evil when running a law practice), but I know the dangers involved and support a ban on texting while driving.  Volusia county has dangerous roads and also has the dubious distinction of having the intersection of two of the most dangerous highways in the country, I-95 and I-4.  Distractions should be minimized in order to avoid the dangers of Florida's highways.  Be safe, pay attention to the road and drivers around you.

If you have been injured, contact Johnson & Gilbert, P.A. for free consultation at 1-800-556-8890.
