Uninsured motorist coverage is valuable coverage

One of our lawyers was just recently involved in a terrible accident outside of Daytona Beach while driving on I-4.  She was bumped from behind by another driver causing her SUV to roll several times, landing in oncoming traffic.  Although her SUV's safety features likely saved her life, she still suffered serious injuries.  If she had not carried an uninsured motorist policy (UM), she would likely not be able to recover any monetary damages as a result of the other driver's negligence.  The at-fault driver did not carry a bodily injury policy, an all to common occurrence in Florida.
