Wet roads pose hazardous conditions during Bike Week

Weather for Daytona's Bike Week 2010 has been less than perfect.  Aside from the cold temperatures, there has been considerable rain.  Unfortunately, rain on our roads can cause hazardous conditions for bikers and auto drivers alike.  There has already been one fatality involving a motorcycle this Bike week and several accidents with minor injuries (I actually witnessed one on A1A yesterday).  Take care when operating a motorcycle on wet roads, particularly after a rain shower.  Roads can be slick immediately following a rain storm.  Hopefully the rain will clear out for the remainder of Bike Week so that everyone can enjoy the festivities.  Remember, keep an eye on the roads and traffic to avoid potential accidents.  Have fun and be safe!
