

A Florida accident involving a car and a motorcycle resulted in the death of one man. The incident took place in Daytona Beach at approximately 11:00 AM on Wednesday morning, October 7, 2009.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was traveling on a motorcycle westbound along Beville Road near Clyde Morris Boulevard in Daytona Beach when the morning accident happened. William H. Deininger, 80, of Daytona Beach, was also heading westbound along Beville Road in his 2000 Toyota when he attempted to make a left turn onto Forest Lake Boulevard. According to Daytona Beach police investigator Jimmie Flynt, the victim’s motorcycle crashed into the side of Deininger’s Toyota.
Authorities are withholding the details of the identity of the motorcyclist until relatives have been contacted in regards to the fatal crash.
According to reports, the motorcyclist apparently suffered extensive head injuries after he was thrown from the motorcycle upon impact with the Toyota. Rescue crews transported him to Halifax Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead approximately a half-hour after the two-vehicle accident.
No other details about the crash have been made available. The incident is still under investigation by local authorities. There have currently been no charges filed against Deininger.
