Mims Motorcycle Accident Leaves One Seriously Injured

A Mims motorcycle accident leaves one person seriously injured after a motorcycle and car collide along U.S. 1. The incident took place at approximately 12:00 PM on Thursday afternoon, April 29, 2010, near Aurantia Road.

According to reports, the collision took place between a motorcycle and a car near the 4700 block of U.S. 1, near Aurantia Road. At least one person was badly injured in the two-vehicle wreck.

Rescue crews transported the unidentified motorcyclist by air to Holmes Medical Center in Melbourne where he was treated for injuries sustained in the wreck. The extent of the victim’s injuries were unclear, however, the biker’s injuries were described as serious.

It was unclear as to whether anyone else was injured in the motorcycle wreck. The driver’s identity was not made known.

“It’s a car versus a motorcycle and one of the victims is in serious condition,” said Brevard County Fire-Rescue spokesperson Orlando Dominguez.

The Mims motorcycle crash is still under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Investigators have yet to determine what caused the accident or who may have been at fault.
