Motorcyclist killed by car running red light near Sanford.

Posted on Mar 23, 2011

Tuesday afternoon, 35-year old John Urban Bennett of Sanford was riding his 2006 Harley-Davidson westbound on County Road 427 at 2.05 p.m., when he was hit at the intersection by a 2008 Dodge passenger car exiting State Road 417.

Trying to avoid the crash, Bennett toppled over and slid underneath the Dodge. Critically wounded, the biker was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford where he died.

According to the Orlando Sentinel report, the Dodge driver, 36-year-old Jennifer Hackney, ran the red light at the intersection. The driver and a passenger, Stefanie Kelly Graziano, 27, were not injured.

The motorcycle accident attorneys of Johnson & Gilbert wish to express their warmest sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Bennett.
