Motorcyclist Killed in Terrible Orlando Crash

Posted on May 04, 2011

Motorcycle crashes do not make for pleasant news. Last Tuesday's awful accident shows just how bad it can be. According to the Orlando Sentinel, a 2007 Toyota was at a stop sign in the left turn lane of the eastbound International Drive at State Road 535. Motorcyclist Scott Brush, arriving at the intersection traveling southbound on S.R. 535, had the right-of-way when the Toyota pulled directly into his path. The motorcycle struck the Toyota's left side, pinning the biker to the car that continued to travel, dragging the motorcyclist until it came to a rest in the northbound lanes of S.R.535.

Scott Brush, aged 30, died at the scene. The Toyota driver, Jesse Reeve, 21, of Celebration, explained he had not seen the biker arriving. The Florida Highway Patrol troopers said charges are pending.

The motorcycle accident lawyers of Johnson & Gilbert send their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Scott Brush.

Without any real protection, motorcyclists are vulnerable in the case of a violent crash. A distracted driver is enough to ruin your life, and we all know how distracted drivers can be. No matter how experienced and careful you are, on the road your life is also in other peoples' hands.
