One Woman Killed in Fatal Road Rage Accident in Orange County Florida

Posted on Sep 18, 2009

A woman was killed on the side of an Orange County road in Florida. The Orange County Florida car accident took place along Goldenrod Road.

The crash took place at approximately 3:00 AM on Wednesday morning, September 8, 2009.

It has been reported by investigators that the victim, Monica Salana, 24, was driving her vehicle down Goldenrod Road where the accident took place. It is believed that Salana was arguing with a group of people driving in a black Nissan Altima.

Salana apparently stopped her car in the middle of the road to confront the persons in the black Altima. At this point, she is believed to have been struck down by the other car.

“The victim stopped out here on the roadway and was struck by the other vehicle,” According to Orange County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Rick Luckey. “Based on the information we have right now, it doesn’t appear to be an accident. It appears to be an intentional act.”

Firefighters and rescue crews attempted to revive Salana when they arrived at the scene of the accident. However, her body was unresponsive to the rescue efforts.

The driver of the black Nissan Altima immediately fled the scene according to deputies. Orange County officials are currently looking for the Altima and the driver of the car that was involved in the incident.
