Filing a workers' comp claim in a bad economy

In a bad economy, jobs can be harder to find.  Nevertheless, when you are injured on the job, you should not be afraid to file a valid workers' comp claim for fear of losing that job.  Florida's laws protect injured workers from retaliation from an employer for filing a valid workers' compensation claim.  Many work accidents can cause serious injuries, some of which may not be evident until several days or weeks have past.  Failure to pursue your claim out of concern for your job, could result in a denial of needed medical care if your claim in not filed timely.  For more information, you can check out my library article regarding workers' compensation in a bad economy.  If you would like to discuss your workers' compensation claim, contact Johnson & Gilbert, P.A. for a free consultation.
