A Daytona Beach car accident involving two cars left two people injured after the two vehicles collided in the 1600 Block of Clyde Morris Boulevard. The incident took place at approximately 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, near Beville Road.


According to reports, two vehicles collided near Clyde Morris Boulevard and Beville Road on Wednesday afternoon in the Daytona Beach area. Rescue crews transported two people to the hospital where they were treated for serious injuries sustained in the collision. Their identities were not immediately made known. It is unclear if anyone else was involved in the wreck.


Commuters were inconvenienced for over an hour as emergency crews cleared the accident scene and authorities investigated the wreck. Clyde Morris Boulevard reopened about 5:30 PM, according to a dispatch supervisor.


The two-vehicle Daytona Beach car accident is still under investigation by local authorities, which includes traffic homicide investigators. There was no initial indication as to how the accident occurred, who may have been at fault or if any citations are to be given.
