The Social Security Administration provides numerous publications. One of the best ones is titled What Every Woman Should Know, and it is available through the Social Security Administration's website, www.ssa.gov, or you can contact Johnson & Gilbert and request a copy.

This publication not only deals with the issue of disability but also answers questions that are unique to women, including changing your name, surviving a spouse, benefits for your family, and what happens to Social Security benefits and eligibility if you divorce, to name just a few.
