Dayona Biketoberfest brings many motorcycles, but also accidents
Daytona Beach held it's annual Biketoberfest October 15th-18th. Cool weather allowed bikers to enjoy the roads around Daytona and Ormond Beach. Over 100,000 bikers filled Volusia and Flagler county roads over the 4 day event. Unfortunately, with that many bikers on the road, accidents were bound to happen. Of course, a special event is not necessary for accidents to occur. Just this passed Monday, two motorcyclist were injured at Seabreeze and A1A when an elderly woman hit them with her SUV. One rider received severe leg injuries, the other suffered head injuries, which may have been worse except for wearing a helmet. Statistics show that wearing a helmet can reduce severe head trauma.
If you or someone you know is injured in a motorcycle accident, do not trust that case to flashy advertising by reputed "motorcycle attorneys". As a former Harley rider myself, I know the joys of riding a motorcycle, but I also know the perils. At Johnson & Gilbert, P.A. we have years of experience in representing accident victims.
