A Daytona Beach car accident involving three vehicles leaves six people injured. The incident took place at approximately 5:00 PM on Saturday evening, April 24, 2010, at the intersection of International Speedway Boulevard and Williamson Boulevard.

According to Daytona Beach Fire Lt. Larry Stoney, a white sedan was traveling westbound on International Speedway Boulevard and made a left turn onto Williamson Boulevard and into the path of a silver truck. The truck was traveling eastbound. The force of the impact caused the truck to slam into a third vehicle, sending the two vehicles into a nearby ditch.

The three-vehicle crash left six people injured. Rescue crews transported all six victims to Halifax Health Medical Center where they were treated for injuries sustained in the wreck. Three of the victims had to be extricated from the white sedan. The extent of their injuries was not made known.

Stoney reported that there were four children involved in the crash. Fortunately, none of them suffered any injuries.

The Daytona Beach accident is still under investigation by local authorities.
