It wasn’t too long ago that Toyota was in the news due to gas pedals issues in certain models. Toyota is paying a $16.4 million fine for violations, but there is more trouble on the horizon as Toyota announces the recall of the 2010 Lexus GX 460.

The announcement follows a recent article published by Consumer Reports (CR) that highlights the potential risks of the SUV rolling over while turning. According to CR, they tested a GX 460 on their handling course and discovered, when pushed to its limits, the model’s electronic stability control system did not regain control of the SUV until after the rear of the vehicle became almost sideways.

Fortunately, Toyota believes that they have identified the problem and report it as being a software issue. Starting at the end of April, owners of the 2010 Lexus GX 460 will be able to take their car in to have the problem fixed.

The Lexus GX 460, which costs over $50,000, has been on the market for approximately three months. If you are considering purchasing one you should take the time to make sure the vehicle you are buying is safe and the necessary repairs have been done on the vehicle.
